68a.1 - What is the scope and purpose of the NIH Clinical Research Loan Repayment Program for Individuals from Disadvantaged Backgrounds (CR - LRP)?

This part applies to the award of educational loan payments under the NIH Clinical Research Loan Repayment Program for Individuals from Disadvantaged Backgrounds (CR-LRP) authorized by section 487E of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 2885). The purpose of this program is to recruit and retain appropriately qualified health professionals, who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have substantial educational debt relative to income, to conduct clinical research as NIH employees.
