178.270 - 1 - Specification requirements for IM 101 and IM 102 steel portable tanks.
(a) Each IM portable tank must meet the requirements of this section in addition to the requirements of 178.271 (IM 101) or 178.272 (IM 102).
These requirements apply to IM portable tanks of diameters no greater than 2438 mm (96 inches) that are designed to carry liquids having a vapor pressure of less than 2.97 bar-absolute (43 psia) at a temperature of 50 C (122 F).
