102 - 36.315 - Are there any restrictions to the use of the abandonment/destruction authority?
Yes, the following restrictions apply: (a) You must not abandon or destroy property in a manner which is detrimental or dangerous to public health or safety. Additional guidelines for the abandonment/destruction of hazardous materials are prescribed in part 10142 of this title.
(b) If you become aware of an interest from an entity in purchasing the property, you must implement sales procedures in lieu of abandonment/destruction.
